Spring is here and I took the opportunity to visit Holywood Seafront recently and lap up the sunshine with Phill. It was a lovely chilled out day, which ended with scampi and chips for dinner, overlooking the sea. This was my first time wearing my new denim overall from Mango (bought in the sale in Glasgow back in January – it’s actually classified as a dress!) and my retro Gola Harrier Classics…which I am in love with!
I’m totally on board the continuing trainer trend and since last summer have accumulated six pairs of trainers! I bought my first Gola trainers last year – a very feminine Liberty print pair which I still love. This time I wanted to go for a different style and what I love about the Gola Harrier is the rubber role and the classic colour combo or white, red and blue. They remind me of a pair I used to have about ten years ago! They are very comfy and I really like them paired with my frayed jeans (I hacked the bottoms of these Zara jeans myself). Gola are currently running a fun social media campaign asking #WhichGolaAreYou. Join in if you’re a Gola fan like me!
I’ve surprised myself by embracing the double denim trend…but I wanted to step outside my comfort zone and I really like the look I went for. As many of you know, I’m pregnant now and enjoying my second trimester. I want to make the most of being able to fit into most of my clothes still and as my belly grows I don’t want to compromise my love of fashion and playing about with different trends. I think my denim overall/dress will be a well-worn favourite this spring/summer and I’ve already invested in a waistband extender so I can continue to wear my jeans for as long as possible.
Thanks to Gola for sending me my favourite pair of trainers from the Gola Classics range – #WhichGolaAreYou?
